and now the end is near
and so i face the final curtain
my friends i'll say it clear

i've lived a life that's full

i've loved, i've laughed and cried
i had my fill, my share of losing
and now as tears subside
i find it all so amusing
to think i did all that
and may i say not in a shy-way

for what is a girl
what has she got?
if not herself, then she has not
to say the things she truly feels
and not the words of one who kneels
