Dear David,
I am really delighted to  have the chance to read your letter on David Tao website, because I can truely know your recent situation and understand your feelings in few months from your letter other than from some artificial  news on internet. Actually, I always want to write to you, but I do not know where I can post. So, I only post it to the website, although I don't know if you have the chance to read it.

In fact, I can image that you work on your new album at great pressures, even if I don't read your letter. You must think a lot about how to produce a perfect album that can contain both sides and the reaction of the public. I don't understand why you think so much. I believe one person create something beautiful without the pressure. Even, many beautiful melody have been created by accident. This was  why Beethoven always took the notebook. Under the relaxed condition, one can keep the mood optimistic; keep the mind open; keep the creation limitless.

Here, I want to  say "believe yourself, believe your ability". As for your first three album, I can see your infinite creation, your progress , your diligence in each album. If a musician always keep one music style R&B, it is impossible for him to stand on the peak of the moutain.Then, "music", "the audience" would give up him one day. It is neccssary to produce an album that consists of  various music style. Therefore, bebieve the way that you are on. I really enjoy listening to your music. when I listen to your music, I always feel you like my old friends.

Sometimes, when you have no way of changing something terrible, you may feel helpless and disappointed. As we all know, a coin has two sides, let alone the world we live in. Now that you can not change it, why don't you try to accept it? There are still  many beautiful things in this world. However, it does not mean that you are with the main stream. That is better to tell what the good is or the bad is. Although you can't change it, your music, even your film (in the future) have the influence on one gerneration or the next. That's enough, isn't it? maybe, you have made it. That's also my hope!

Do you think about it ? You don't feel safe probablly because of your profession. You are always noticed by the media, the public. This is the cost that you pay as a star. Of course, the criminal rate in LA is very high. Maybe, you need a family.

That was the first time that I have met you face to face in
Wuhan .You are so honest to your fans. But, I believe you have not impressed by it.

Somehow, I know you don't like to propagate, because you think an excellent album have no need to do like that. But under the pressure from the company and the sell-amount of the album you have to do it. However, this is an efficient way.

So, just like what you said, if you doubt, hear your true voice deep inside. I will always be with you, pray for you.
