《Goddess on a hiway》的前奏用钢琴加低音吉他表达了生机盎然的曲调，活泼的节拍显得朗朗动听。如果我们的生命也能开始的这样俏皮而轻松，这个世界显然将会变的更加美好。
Mercury Rev的主唱的声音在唱低音时显得很普通，但是激情通常是在平静之后爆发的，架子鼓并没有起在带动高潮方面起到太大作用，而是旋律自身的演变，你会发现原来一个小小的低婉之后高潮就轰轰烈烈的爆发了，大气而细腻，有点让你措不及手的样子。
温暖的弦乐在这首曲子里起了相当大的作用，凡是高潮部分和高潮之后的过度都用了相当华丽的弦乐，表达的是一种期待，包括对未来的希望、信心之类：Aad I know it ain’t gonna last。自今难以理解，高速公路上的女神到底代表什么？与我应该注意的东西有什么差距....
