On 11-09-2003 at 4.30pm I chatted with David in My FM Chat room. I posted my message to David and requested him to come to Kuching because there are lots of his faithful supporters in Kuching. However, David thought that Kuching was a country and asked Wai Fun, the DJ where is Kuching during his interview live on air. I was really surprised because I never thought that he had noticed my message. Finally, the day had come.
On 17-3-2005, David came to Kuching. He performed at MBKS Indoor Stadium, Kuching. He sang two of his song from the latest album, which are “Who Do You Love” and “Susan Said”. I was really amazed [em00] by his performance live on stage because it is just like listening to his CD. His singing skill was unbelievable. GOD really had blessed him with the “singing talent”. Starting from that moment, I was determined to save enough money in order to fly to Kuala Lumpur to watch his concert in the future. Actually, most of the fans was kind of disappointed because David sang two songs only. But look on the bright sight, him as the “God Father of R&B Music” had finally came to Kuching. I don’t think anyone had ever dreamt that he will come to Kuching to promote his album right? So, despite he only sang two songs that night, we should be thankful that he managed to finish signing his autograph for his fans who came to support him. In addition, I was really touched because David took the effort to say “Hi”, “Thank you” and also he did shake hand with each of his fan. He was so polite and friendly to all of his fans. At the moment I saw him, my heart almost melted.
He was so smart and so sweet since he wore a pink T-shirt and a blue jeans that night
. I still remember my message to him, “David, I had waited for a long time for you to come to Kuching and finally you came”. He replied, “I’m very happy to come to Kuching too.” Oh, my goodness!!! Do all artists will behave so polite like him? Do all artists are so friendly and caring towards their fans? I guessed that David is the one and only. Even though, three months had past, but I shall never forget the historical date which is “17-03-2005”, the day that David Tao conquered all his fans in Kuching.
