Hope everyone who attended the show last night, enjoyed themselves.
[Concert began @ 8.35pm]
1. Rain- Zhao Zi Ji
2. Shanghaied- Jin Tian Bu Hui Jia
3. Airport 1030- Fei Ji Chang De Shi Dian Ban (still my #1 favourite
to listen to when DT sings it live during concerts)
4. Who Do You Love- Ai Wo Hai Shi Ta
5. Break: David talks about the accompanying string section which
comprises of young members from Singapore and China
6. Moon Represents Whose Heart- Yue Liang Dai Biao Shei De Xin
7. Let's Fall in Love- Tao Yan Hong Lou Meng
* DT encouraged audience to stand up during this song
8. Break: David talks about his band and jokes abt Kewei's name, as
her name Tay Kewei, sounds like "take away".
9. Runaway: David says this is a song about chasing your dreams
10. David goes off stage to change costume
11. Video played of David narrating a story (in Mandarin) about an
apple tree and a young boy. Very very interesting to hear DT telling
a story actually- cool! Story line: A young boy was friends with an
apple tree. 1 day, the boy told the tree: i need some $. The apple
tree then said : you can take the apples from my tree and sell them
away, as the tree wanted the boy to be happy. Some years later, the
boy who had grown up to be a young man, came to the tree again and
told the tree: i am feeling lonely. The tree then tells him: you can
use my wood and build a boat to explore the world. Even though that
meant sacrificing himself again, the tree was happy to make the boy happy.
Many years later, the young man had grown to become an old man, went
to visit the tree again, now reduced to a stump. The tree asked the
man what he wanted this time, the man said: i am just tired and want
to sit down. so the tree let him sit on his roots. the man then told
the tree: i have a bag of seeds. at this point, he then discovered
the tree had died. The man then scatters the seeds on the ground and
a new tree grows. End of video.
* ps: i may have got some parts of the story a bit "wrong" so please
correct me! would really appreciate that.. :) and if you could, could
someone enlighten me abt the ending? hmmmmm.
12. Kheng Long solo piano performance, then David appears to sing
Blue Moon- Sha Tan
Tuberose- Ye Lai Xiang
Spring Wind- Wang Chun Feng
13. Lisa then sings a French song La Vie En Rose and DT jokes "is that Spanish?"
(Note: I'll talk abt Lisa later. made a big discovery last night!)
14. Everything's Gone- Liu Sha
15. Angel.
After singing Angel, DT then says he is thirsty but he said he is "Ke
Kou" (which is delicious in Mandarin!) instead of "Kou Ke" (=
thirsty). DT didn't even realise he said the wrong thing- HA!
Percussionist Mat Noor then appears and presents DT with a bottle of
water and says he is the Water Boy.
16. Susan Said- Su San Shuo (i like this too! :)
17. Small Town Girl- Xiao Zhen Gu Niang (a close battle with Airport
1030 to be my personal favourite "live concert" song).
18. Melody. David said he actually had no intentions of singing this
song (before he sang it) but sang it because of the SG fans :)
19. David then whips out his guitar and sings Seasons of Loneliness-
Ji Mo De Ji Jie. The violin prelude was real splendid.
20. Costume change.
21. Er Hu and Di Zi (i think!) preludes to Ghost- Gui.
22. Black Tangerine- Hei Se Liu Ding
23. Art of War- Sun Zi Bing Fa (nice!)
24. Break: DT finally STOPS and engages in more talk with the
audience. looking for fans from overseas etc. He also mentions that he
hopes there will be an opportunity for him to hold a smaller-scale
performance in SG where he can get closer to the fans.
25. Close to You- Tian Tian. Like in 2003, David also comes down the
stage while singing this song and shakes hands with the audience!
26. Unplugged section with Mat Noor (who was just using the box he was
sitting on, as an instrument! wow!!), Jaime and David Tan

For those who would like to leave your opinions of the SG concert for
David to read, please post at this thread at dt.com forum..
not sure if there will be a separate thread created by Mark for his SG
concert review? :)
among all the things i observed, i will just voice out 1 major
complaint i had: a beautiful stage set-up but photography was
surprisingly super duper prohibited. a really big let-down.
anyway, it was fantastic to hear DT sing live, especially when his
voice and condition are in top form. just brilliant! :)
and yes, last but not least, when David mentioned that Lisa could
speak French well (at #13), it suddenly hit me that THIS WAS THE Lisa
who had previously cut an album in Taiwan some years ago! and I
remember her very well because the publicity of that album was often
focused on Lisa having stayed in France before and being able to speak
fluent French! If i am not wrong, Lisa was also nominated in the
following year's Taiwan Golden Melody Awards (Jin Qu Jiang) for Best
Newcomer award (which I can't remember who won eventually).
